We've been cleaning the antique rugs and other furnishings for the Texas Governor's Mansion for almost twenty years. You don't keep that kind of customer happy for that long unless you know what you are doing. With a variety of cleaning methods available to us from full immersion washing to complete dry cleaning, we will make sure that your rug receives the care that it deserves. Our regular prices include pick up and delivery as well as most roll and relays.
You may also bring your rugs in to our cleaning plant (map) from Monday to Friday 9-4 or Saturdays 9-12. Our normal turnaround time for rug cleaning is one week. If you aren't sure what type of rug you have you can email us a picture of the front and back including any tags. We'll be able to give you a price from there.
We've also recently decided to stop cleaning certain types of wool shag and felted wool rugs. The cleaning results were consistently unacceptable.
Our Cleaning Process
Inspection and Identification
Your rug is completely inspected for fiber content, construction style and origin in order to identify the best cleaning method possible. All natural fiber dyes are tested for stability.
Heavy Grit Removal
A pneumatic plate vibrating over 900 times per minute is used to dislodge the heavy dry grit that gets ground into the base of your rug.
Fine Dust Removal
All wool and silk rugs are then dusted using high pressure air flowing through a specially designed airflow multiplying valve. This air blast removes very fine dry dust particles that are trapped within the core of the fiber itself.
Pre conditioning
Heavier soils are suspended using appropriate and safe cleaning solutions.
Agitation
The rug face is gently brushed with a rotary pad to loosen the remaining soil. All of your fringes are also cleaned by hand.
Rinse
We use a pH balanced soft water rinse to remove all soils and cleaning solutions leaving the pile colors bright and texture soft.
Groom and Dry
Your rug pile is hand groomed back into it's natural lay and then goes under the fans until it is dry.
In cases of heavy pet urine problems, your rug may have to spend a night in our enzyme bath. This process dissolves and digests the urine and removes the offending odor.

Bring it on by. Our plant is always open from Monday to Friday 9 to 4 and Saturdays from 9 to 12. You'll save 20% but please call to schedule large rug drop offs on weekdays so that we can make sure that one of the guys is there to help unload them.
